This board was set up with the aim to develop educational system in all government and private schools and colleges came under its jurisdiction. This board is responsible for conducting the annual and supply exams in the cities including Hafizabad, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Sailkot, Narowal and Mandi Baha uddin.

Gujranwala board has also worked for the progress of the education in its areas and provided new techniques to get further education in new introduced subjects. The standard of education in all schools and colleges of BISE Gujranwala board has improved significantly and it conducts the annual and supply exams of matric and intermediate level. This board has also produced excellent results for matric and intermediate exams and its marvelous output has created sense of learning among the students.
